Where's Dick Mack's? Across from the church. Where's the church, across from Dick Mack's. Actually, it's in Dingle, Ireland.The ILB Team visits the iconic Dick Mack's Pub where both craic and great beer have been served up daily since 1899. An amazing Irish pub where the team enjoyed live music, pleasant company and, of course, a few spectacular pints. 4th generation owner Finn MacDonald shares the pub's story and why in the land of Guinness he decided to brew and serve his own beer. 

Deep into the foothills of Crough Patrick near Westport, Ireland, the ILB found a magical nano brewery crafting l, of all things, Belgian beers! Cillian O'Morain, owner and head brewer of Mescan Brewing,  took a break from a two-day marathon bottling session to give us a tour and tell his story. Cillian entertained with some good-natured teasing, history, exceptional beer, and an authentic Irish toast! 

 

On the recommendation of Captain Kurt, Epic Beer Trips, the ILB Team heads to Manchester UK. They leave their home base at the BrewDog, Doghouse to find a micro gem. Taproom Gaffer, Jason Minzie, hosts the Jeffs at the Marble Arch Inn, a Victorian Inn with a rich history and spectacular beers. Jason and the March Beer team are creating both authentic styles and some creative twists to add to a burgeoning craft beer scene in Manchester. 

Finishing their visit to 3rd Avenue, downtown Chula Vista, the ILB Team meets with Kevin Lewis, co-founder of 3 Punk Ales. Kevin had a surprise waiting for them! It took a long time for ILB to get to 3 Punks, but it lived up to and beyond all expectations. The story, the beers and the experience is amazing. Downtown Chula Vista is buzzing with great food, fantastic beer and all kinds of family friendly events. The concluding episode of this visit will leave you making plans to get there as soon as possible. 

The ILB Team takes the trip down the I-5 to Downtown Chula Vista to check out the burgeoning beer scene. The Downtown Chula Vista District Manager, Dominic Li Mandri, starts off the day of adventures by sharing the story of what 3rd Avenue in Chula Vista has been and is becoming. Then they head down the street to Groundswell Brewing to meet Kevin Rhodes and hear about the unique journey he's had in the industry. Groundswell compliments their own excellent beers with an all-star lineup of guest beers. Take a listen at what "Unique" the team gets to add to their Untappd beer list. 

The ILB Team headed down to 3rd Avenue, Chula Vista to explore the fine beer scene there. Tim and Dali Parker, owners of Chula Vista Brewery, welcomed the team into their special brewery venue. What once was the town jail has become the cornerstone of the downtown community. Tim tells stories that range from his time in the US Navy as a Search and Rescue expert to his favorite teacher to finding his second calling as a brewer and business owner. Chula Vista Brewery is doing everything right and hearing Tim tell their story makes you want to head down to Chula Vista for a pint.
